During the reign of his grandfather, Syedna Zakiyuddin (RA) and his father Syedna Kalimuddin (RA); Al-Dail Ajal Syedna Nurmohammed Nuruddin (RA) performed considerable khidmat - Molana was even imprisoned during the persecution by Jaam in Syedna Kalimuddin's time. He is the 4th Dai from Aale Bharmal.
Considerable hardships were inflicted upon Syedna; mainly by Jaam. Jaam demanded a considerable amount of money from Syedna and Syedna was compelled to leave Jamnagar that very night. Molana reached Morbi where he was welcomed by the Rajah and honoured - Mumineen were very happy.
Jaam, meanwhile, had confiscated all of Syedna's properties. Eventually, however, he was reduced to a sorry state until he met his end. He had become infested with worms all over his body.
After Jaam, his son Rajsingh became king. Since childhood he had adored Syedna, who had cured him from snake venom. He sent an appeal to Syedna, residing in Morbi, to return to Nagar adding that he would hand back all of Syedna's properties. After repeated requests Syedna returned to Nagar where he continued in elevating the glories of D`awat. Molana was especially philanthropic.
Rajsingh was killed by his brother and Syedna and Mumineen were grieved. Peace and wellbeing were lost in the city and Syedna left Nagar for Kutch-mandvi.
During his time there was drought in various states. The granaries and properties of Munineen were looted. Syedna sent food and silver to them and those who came to his prescence were helped likewise.
One day Syedna went towards the qabrastaan in Mandvi, there was a plot of land besides it and he told Alibhai to purchase that land adding that it would be needed one day - it was on that land that a Dai of Ale Mohammed would be buried.
In the year 1130H on the 1st of Rajab Syedna fasted, he enriched students of knowledge with ifadaat and then, as maghrib approached, he retired for vazu. Syedna fainted on the 4th of Rajab he passed away. He was buried in the very land he had instructed be purchased.
It is said that Syedna fell from the stairs onto the floor and was in such severe pain that the only words he spoke for 2 days preceding his wafaat were for farz. Molana conferred nas upon Syedna Ismail Badruddin bin Syedi Shaikhadam Safiyuddin (RA).
On the 5th of Rajab; Molana's aqilah, Fatema Aaisahaba, also passed away.
